Chambers' legal team had threatened to take action against UKA if the 29-year-old was not allowed to run.

Athletics chiefs wanted to prevent him running as he has not undergone a drugs test since November 2006.

Chambers won the 60m at Sunday's Birmingham Games in 6.60 seconds to easily meet the qualifying standard.

After that victory he said: "My mind is trained and ready [to compete in Sheffield] that is what I want to do and so I have to keep my mind on that.

"As far as I'm concerned I'll be there. I'm sure if I let my legs do the talking then my solicitor will do the negotiating and hopefully we will reach a mutual compromise."

Though i do not advocate drug use in the sport. But the guy got caught, did his time, completed what the IAAF felt is the proper punishment for the crime, and is now cleared to compete again. you can't just go back and give the man a life sentance...
